Evaluation
When talking you through my evaluation I will speak in depth and empathy over my feelings and working progress over the Tate project. This project was a follow up from a recent abstract based project. In this I looked into a number of artists who worked in different compositions and unique styles. These artists went from Yves Klein to Bryan Saunders. The Tate project, I felt was new and challening. I knew I would be in constant company of photoshop and this made me feel nervous as I haven't much experience on this software. In the past project I created outcome's which was more based around humanity. I specialized mainly in painting during this so I felt it was a big change for me to go from a paintbrush to the computer. I started creating outcomes focusing more on shapes, colour and texture. By doing this I knew I was throwing myself in the deep end as abstract patterns were always a low quality of mine. My motivation got me through by thinking of the idea of our project being Tate Modern based. As I was putting my ideas together I had a mild image in my head of what I would like to see on this poster and how I would feel seeing a design of mine being advertised. It would be an honour for it to be for the Tate Modern as I find this to be an inspirational art museum. There was a time in this project where I felt highly inspired and that infact just by looking at art from a recent Tate poster. This art was by Francis Bacon. From this I was inspired to paint my own interpitation of his work. When working in photoshop I got into the habbit of using orginal images from the recent project adding effects and changing the shapes to it. For instance, I loved using the 3d effects (mainly sphere) as it changed my outcomes into something completly knew and exciting with a form of movement. Movement became a main formal element used as I chose original outcomes and changed the effects in order to produce movement and emotion. I went through the progress by rearching into artistic advertisement and slowly began to feel more comfortable with the project and produce outcomes I never expected to create. Overall I am pleased with the work I have produced but also dissapointed as I work in a slow manner.
