Abstract Underwear.

Before stepping into my book, I usually come up with ideas using primary source. What I have done here is collected unused underwear and added a splash of colour focussing on the 3 primary colours, red, blue and yellow. I did this by using acrylic paints. The shapes in themselves and the texture of the material worked up to my stands. The socks are in fact my favourite, as there is so much shape, depth and texture. The deep lines give a great effect of colour movement. To end this process I hung up both socks and underpants on my wardrobe door and hair dried each item for several minutes. When process was complete the underwear had dried and gone rock hard. Which was an interesting outcome.
