The first year in college we were given a summer project called "Sun, Sea, Sand and Mud". This project was all about creating an art form of your choice using just environmental materials. When I got handed this project my first idea came straight to me, and that was to locate my work in my back garden. In this my materials were pebbles, mud and twigs. Choosing from the colours that I had layed out in front of me helped me produce "the eye". Whilst in progress of working on this, I created it in a style of a painting. Each and every other grey pebble had different colours and tones in them, also I used white pebbles in the corner of the pupil to show light reflecting. It took a lot of time and hard work achieving the correct shape and tone and I feel In the end, I achieved my goal. This piece has become representational as the eye is a strong organ that is beautiful inside and out. The mixture of colours and patterns reflect us as individuals and emotion is easily conceived. This brings meaning behind my art work that sets in my back garden. I felt the need to centre this in order for it to make a person feel like their always being watched. After having members of my family feel creeped out by this my temptations was a success.
