Mask's are a big influence to me when they are used in horrors and thrillers. The villain chooses to hide behind a certain mask in order to hide his/hers identity. In each separate movie like the ones I have drawn, villain's use their own unique mask. Through using this as a cover up identity, they no longer wear the mask, the mask wears them. Through hiding behind this intimidating, horrific looking disguise that person immediately feels freedom to become that dark character they wish to be. They may feel uncomfortable showing their face as they feel more power through the person having a bad reaction to the mask they're hidden behind. It is meant to frighten all the more. The thrill makes that person become a lot more controlling than what they already are.

Saw 5.
I have noticed that animal mask's are slowly becoming popular in the horror movie industry and the music industry. The pig mask has been worn to look horrific and surreal as it is an odd like composition for an animals head to be on top of a humans body. This becomes threatening as a human and animal both have monstrous quality's which can be more of a threat when seen together.
Judging from the wig that comes with this mask it makes me question that it is a girl behind it and she wanted to show a glimpse of her real self without showing her real hair. She is out to murder now as she has a history of being bullied and being name called as maybe "a fat pig". This could be the reasoning behind the pig mask. She wanted her victims to have an idea of who she was but at the same time wanted pay back and to be in control and she was once the victim herself.

Mr Krinkle.
Mr Krinkle is a song written by a band named Primus. It is not the song that has inspired me but it is the music video. This video is one that keeps your eyes glued to the screen. The band members have had experiences in the past with taking LSD and this has further influenced them in music videos. I would describe this video as bizarre and comical. The vocalist is wearing a pig mask and a suit whilst playing the cello with a number of characters behind him putting on a performance. These characters are mainly circus act's. They involve act's such as Trapeze, a fire - eater, contortionist's and stilt walkers. I was most amused by certain stilt walker who was dressed in a black suit, had giant hands and giant head with its large mouth moving. For me, this is the best way I feel to put on a performance.
